Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina defeated Martina Hingis and Flavia Pennetta on Saturday evening to win their second Grand Slam doubles title as a pair. Following their first title win at last year’s French Open, Makarova and Vesnina rallied from a set deficit to defeat the unseeded pairing 2-6, 6-3, 6-2. “We played really well tonight,” Vesnina said afterwards. “We cannot believe we won the title.
