Monaco storms into Kuala Lumpur semifinals, Nishikori also advances

tennis predictions

Second seeded Argentinian Juan Monaco powered into semifinals of the Malaysian Open on friday as he dismissed young Canadian Vasek Pospisil to reach his sixth semifinal of the year and the first played on indoor.

Monaco was too high hurdle for Pospisil – making his debut in the quarterfinals –  as the Argentinian was dominating with his serve missing just five points after his first serve and breaking four times his opponent to wrap up a 6-3 6-4 win in less than one hour and a half.

In the another quarterfinals rubber third seeded Japanese Kei Nishikori beat former champion Nikolay Davydenko as the Russian withdrew after losing the opening 6-4. Nishikori will face Monaco on saturday looking for a place in the final.
