Andy Roddick posted a superb victory over Italy’s Andreas Seppi in the final of the AEGON International in Eastbourne, beating him in straight sets 6-3 6-2.
This is the 31st career title for the American and his first one over a more than a year. Five breaks of serve helped Roddick to cruise to victory in 1 hour and 12 minutes.
Former world no.1 Roddick has been struggling with his form until the start of this tournament, having lost the last 6 matches on tour. However, this victory should give him some motivation and confidence going into Wimbledon, where he will play Brit Jamie Baker in the first round.
