Things got tighter at the top with Pablo Santos-Gonzalez taking a week off.  Juan Albert Viloca only got in one match so is tied for 1st.  That allowed Jose Luis Muguruza and Konstantinos Economidis to catch up, pulling to within 3 and 4 matches, respectively.

Roger Federer again had a good week, reaching the finals in Rome, but once again Rafael Nadal was his undoing.  Federer slips below Jo-Wilfried Tsonga as a result.  Nadal moves from 7th to 5th.
