Weekly Records Report - 7/14/03

Matches Played
Nicolas Almagro re-established his lead this week.  Even though he was the 2nd seed at Spain F13, he went though the qualies and still won, playing 8 matches.  He is now 5 ahead of Lopez-Jaen.  Teimuraz Gabashvili picked up his second futures title in a row at Georgia F2.  And in one of the best turnarounds of all time, one week after winning Wimbledon on grass, Roger Federer came right back and reached the finals at Gstaad on clay.  So he gets 4 more matches (one walkover).  And in another second seed qualifying and winning in his home country, Daniel Kollerer took the title in Austria F1.  He moves from #15 to #6.

Winning Percentage
With his title, Nicolas Almagro moves up on this list, too, to #3.  Andre Agassi retains sole possession of the lead.  Juan Carlos Ferrero actually surpasses Federer on the list.  Federer's 3-1 record at Gstaad dips him very slightly below Ferrero.
