Nicolas Almagro of Spain got in some serious playing time last week
by qualifying
and winning Portugal
F6. Because this event had 128 draw qualifying, Almagro had to
play 4 qualifying matches and then 5 main draw matches on his way to victory.
He was in second place but now has sole possession of the lead with 40
matches on the year. Roko Karanusic was also in action but lost in
the first round at France
F7. He now has 36 matches on the year. Jean-Michel Pequery
qualified
and reached the quarterfinals in France
F7, propelling him into 3rd place with 33 matches. And Stanislas
Wawrinka of Switzerland has been on fire as of late, reaching the quarterfinals
in each of the first two weeks in Spain #2 satellite and then winning the
third week.
He now has 32 matches.

Percentage
Zbynek Mlynarik of Austria saw his first action of the year and made
it count by qualifying
and winning the title in India
F4. With that effort, Mlynarik is now at 8-0 and atop the percentage
list. In early action in Miami
(included through Sunday's matches), Andre Agassi has gotten one more win
while Lleyton Hewitt lost his opening match. So Hewitt falls to 15-2
and Agassi moves back into 2nd place. Ingo Neumuller of Austria has
been benefiting from qualifying success at the Croatia #1 satellite.
There has only been two weeks (he had not played this year previous) but
he has already amassed a record of 11-2.
