2007 ATP RULE CHANGES
PRIZE MONEY INCREASE
All International Series tournaments at the minimum prize money level in 2006 will pay 10 percent more in 2007.
THREE-SET FINALS
All matches, including finals, will be the best of three tie-break sets unless otherwise approved by the ATP. (2007 exceptions: Indian Wells, Miami)
DRAW SIZE AT ATP MASTERS SERIES EVENTS
The draw size at one-week ATP Masters Series outdoor events (Monte-Carlo, Rome, Hamburg, Canada, Cincinnati) will be reduced from 64 to 56 players.
DOUBLES FINAL FIRST
Doubles finals will be scheduled prior to singles finals unless otherwise approved by the ATP or due to player conflict.
WITHDRAWALS
The number of allowed withdrawals in a season will be reduced from 4 to 3 (2 AMS events and one IS/ISG event). In addition to a fine, a player's second withdrawal from an ISG/IS event will result in a zero point included as one of his best of five results in the ATP 2007 Race.
NO POINTS FOR FIRST ROUND LOSERS
No points will be awarded to first round losers except at mandatory events
(Grand Slams & ATP Masters Series). Wild Cards into mandatory events
receive points only from 2nd round.
